How it compares with daily fibre targets

The Australian adequate intake for dietary fibre is 30 g a day for men and 25 g a day for women (NHMRC Nutrient Reference Values). One serve of PHGG gives about 5 g, roughly a fifth of the target for women and a sixth for men. Most Australians eat less fibre than the target, so a serve added to an everyday diet helps close the gap.

Dietary fibre contributes to regular laxation.

Each 6 g serve of our PHGG provides about 5 g of dietary fibre, making it a good source of dietary fibre. Enjoy as part of a healthy diet that includes a variety of foods.

Build up gradually

Our label suggests starting with 5 g (3 teaspoons) a day and increasing to 6 g (4 rounded teaspoons). As with any food that contains fibre, it may cause abdominal discomfort in some people, so increase slowly and drink an extra glass of water. See how to take PHGG.
